Mountain Biking!

Baños is a mountain biking paradise. Besides the popular Route of the Waterfalls to Puyo, there are many "off-the-beaten-path" routes for various skill levels. Owners Jim and Marshia were active in the cycling communinity in Chicago, and encourage biking as a great way to experience the Sierra around Baños. Jim has mapped a series of 30-50km day loops and La Posada also has a relationship with Biking Spirit in Riobamba for an incredible 2300m downhill from Chimborazo. La Posada maintains four high-end mountain bikes for rent exclusively by our guests.
